Zomato backed Blinkit launches Brandstores which will allow brands to set up customized stores in Blinkit App.
What is the motive ?
- This will allow brands to distinguish itself from their competitors & by using customized pages with messaging feature they should be able to engage with customers in a better way
- This will allow brands to get insights on the page level analytics in real time which increases supply chain visibility.
- This move will also benefit Blinkit in the form of new source of revenue for them
Spotify launches AI DJ using ChatGPT
Spotify has launched ChatGPT based DJ card feature. This Artificial intelligence based DJ will start playing music based on the user preference.
- DJ’s voice is currently based on that of Xavier ‘X’ Jernigan – the host of Spotify’s morning show The Get Up. Spotify confirmed that gradually other voices will also be included
- Currently its available in Android & IOS for the users in USA & Canada

Xiaomi shuts down Zili App
Xiaomi will shut down its TikTok competitor, Zili, in India. This gained huge prominence after TikTok ban in India. Reason for shutting down is not very clear. According to official source, the reason is “Operational adjustment”.
- It will officially get shutdown on March 13th, 2023. Until then, users can download their content offline. and they can redeem their “Z Points” rewards as well.
- At its peek it had around 100 Million downloads in India
Jack Dorsey(Co-Founder of Twitter) launches Bluesky, a Twitter alternative
Jack Dorsey, the Co-Founder & Former CEO of twitter has launched “Bluesky” which is a Twitter alternative.
- This is available for download in App store for testing purposes
- It is currently an invite only beta App.
- It is supposed to be a decentralized social media platform. More details are awaited on this.
